This naturally produced great baking product is also known as potassium hydrogen tartrate, can also be used to create a simple Baking Powder if you don't have any.

Use this recommended top quantity Cream of Tartar as stated in your baking recipe, you can use it when making meringues, layer cake, macaron wreath, macaroons, american, angel cake, cup cakes, bundt cake, cheesecake, pies, chocolate cake, even homemade playdough, help vegetables to retain colour, prevent syrups from crystallising and much more.
To make a simple baking powder use two parts Cream of Tartar to one part Bicarbonate of Soda.
